STF Hostel in Jokkmokk

Now we have taken over the distribution of private accommodation for the winter market. Earlier this was managed by SN-resor, the travel agency here in Jokkmokk, but facing the market in 2009, we have now taken over.

The private accommodation we communicate are beds in private homes in Jokkmokk and the surrounding area. In their apartments or houses. You can expect to share shower, toilet with your "host". Sometimes breakfast is included in the rent but not always. Sometimes, you can use the kitchen but not always.

When you register your interest in renting private accommodation, we will ask questions on how long you want to stay, if you need engine heater, about pets and allergies, smoking and otherwise. The same we do for those who want to rent out. All in order to find the best accommodation just for you.

The price of private accommodation can vary. Sometimes you can get to rent a bed, sometimes a room and sometimes people rent out several rooms in an apartment or a house. Sometimes you can even rent a whole house or apartment.

It is important that you understand that we are not responsible for accommodation, we only distribute it.

We will from this year sell tickets to many of the events happening during the market. You can choose to book them with us and collect them when you get to Jokkmokk, or we can send them to you.

We will also sell dog sled tours during market week in Jokkmokk for the Jokkmomkk guides. It is Matti and Stina that takes you out on tours of the area around Jokkmokk.

You can also go on a tour to Illua - the igloo village outside Jokkmokk. It is Cecilia who is a igloo-maker and you can either go on a day-trip just to watch or spend a night in a real igloo. We sell ticket to both.

Since people in Jokkmokk usually do not start to think about letting their accomodation until after the summer you can start contacting us at 1 September to get rooms or beds or houses.
